Philip Raymond

Philip Raymond is a highly acclaimed singing teacher, based in London where he has taught at RADA for 37 years and has a private studio of clientele from the West End stage and abroad.

Philip was a local boy from St Davids who was a chorister in the Cathedral.

He trained at the Royal College of Music, London as a singer and pianist.

He has given master classes at the Juilliard School and HB Studios New York and the Boris Schukin School Moscow.

Philip is the co-author of the book “Singing on Stage: An Actor’s Guide” published by Methuen.

Philip is now splitting his working week between London and St Davids Pembrokeshire where he has his new music studio overlooking St Bride’s Bay.

His recent students include:

  • Johnnie Flynn,

  • and too many more to mention.

He has a wealth of expertise in building the singing voice, as well as preparing students for exams, concerts, entry to music college or drama school, all the way up to leading a show at the highest international level.

Christine Raymond

Christine Raymond was born in Sunderland and trained as an opera singer at the Royal College of Music, London.

Christine was an international soloist working extensively in the UK and abroad.

To achieve a balance in her life, Christine developed her teaching career whilst bringing up a young family. She has, since then, maintained a thriving career in piano and singing teaching in St Albans where Christine and Philip had their family home before moving to St Davids.
